Why this shop, not the Crest View cluster

Hudson Auto Center, Tire Pros, and the dealer row on Crest View Drive win on volume. The Upgrade Shop wins on mixed work: a daily-driver repair and a turbo or rebuild in the same building, with Peyton Sherman on the job instead of a rotating writer.

Competitors in this market rarely publish price ranges, warranties, or real work photos. We will tell you the range, the downtime, and whether the car is safe to drive home. If it is not, we say that first.

Questions about engine swaps and rebuilds

What is the difference between a top-end repair and a full rebuild?

A top-end repair restores heads, valves, and gaskets. A full rebuild opens the bottom end: pistons, bearings, crank, and oil pump. We recommend the one the engine actually needs.

How long does an engine rebuild take?

Most complete rebuilds take several days to a week once parts are in. Swaps depend on harness, mounts, and calibration.

Do you document engine work?

Yes. Serious engine work is photographed so you can see bearings, clearances, and assembly, not just a finished bay.

Can you swap a turbo engine into a daily driver?

Yes, when the supporting fuel, cooling, and electronics are part of the plan. We will not install a motor that cannot be driven home.
